Bryan Callen at Bricktown Comedy Club - Tulsa

Bryan Callen brings a sharp, easygoing comedy presence to Bricktown Comedy Club in Tulsa on December 31 at 7:30 PM, a fitting way to close out the year with a room built for stand-up. For anyone who likes a comedian who feels conversational but keeps the material moving, this is an appealing place to start. He is billed as an American actor, comedian, and podcaster, and that mix gives his stage work a broad, talk-driven style that can draw in both casual comedy fans and people who follow his larger body of work.

Callen's background also gives his perspective a wider range than a simple club set might suggest. He spent his first 14 years overseas in countries including India, Pakistan, Greece, and Lebanon before moving to the United States, later attending high school in Massachusetts and earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from American University in Washington, DC. Those details help explain why his material can feel grounded in lived experience rather than forced setups. He first appeared on television as a series regular on MADtv and the HBO prison series Oz, then expanded his stand-up profile with appearances on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and CBS' Late Show with David Letterman.

For newcomers, that combination offers a clear entry point: a performer with acting credits, a podcasting background, and enough stand-up history to suggest a practiced, confident voice. His third one-hour comedy special, Complicated Apes, reached the iTunes charts when it was released in March 2019, which adds another reason curiosity often turns into interest.
