Emo Philips

Emo Philips at Bricktown Comedy Club - Tulsa

Emo Philips brings a brand of comedy that rewards close listening, where a single line can twist into something stranger and funnier than you expected. At Bricktown Comedy Club on December 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the veteran stand-up sets up an afternoon that feels made for sharp writing, quick detours, and the kind of laugh that lands a beat later than you planned. For anyone browsing comedy shows around Tulsa, this is a strong pick for people who appreciate jokes that are as carefully built as they are offbeat.

His appeal starts with the writing itself. Philips is known for one-liner joke craft, a style that has earned admiration from major comedians including Jay Leno and Gary Delaney. That focus on precision gives his work a distinctive rhythm: short, surprising, and packed with just enough left turn to keep you leaning in. He has performed for decades across the English-speaking world, and that long run speaks to a comic voice that has stayed recognizable without losing its edge.

Philips' stage appeal is backed by a broader body of work beyond the mic. He has toured with Weird Al Yankovic on multiple occasions, including extensive 2018 and 2022/23 runs, and his credits span award-winning comedy albums, television specials, and an HBO hour-long special. He has also shown up in films such as UHF and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, giving fans another way to recognize him outside stand-up. Even so, the emphasis stays where it belongs: live comedy is the part of the craft he holds closest.
