Emo Halloween at The Vanguard - OK

Halloween week gets a louder, sweatier soundtrack with Emo Halloween at The Vanguard in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 30, 2026 at 8:00 PM. Built as a live-band emo and pop-punk karaoke night, the event puts the mic in the crowd's hands while The Dom Telonges drives the songs from behind them. That setup changes the usual concert dynamic fast: instead of waiting for a performer to interpret the material, you step into the songs yourself and share the room with everyone else doing the same.

The appeal is obvious if you like emo and pop-punk for their big choruses, emotional directness, and sing-along energy. Billed as Through Being Cool presents Emo Halloween, the night is tied to Tulsa's own emo and pop punk karaoke band and framed around covers associated with blink-182, Green Day, Sum 41, Paramore, and My Chemical Romance. That mix gives the evening a familiar backbone while keeping the focus on participation, which can make even a casual listener feel part of the action. It is also an 18-and-over show, so the atmosphere is set for a grown-up club night rather than a family-style event.

Among concert events around Tulsa, this one stands out for its social, interactive format. Fans who love the genre's dramatic sing-along spirit will recognize the draw immediately, and curious newcomers get a low-pressure way to see why these songs still connect.
