Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights at The Vanguard - OK

Hawthorne Heights bring a particular kind of emotional charge that still resonates: sharp hooks, raw feeling, and the kind of emo/post-hardcore intensity that helped define the early 2000s. The Dayton, Ohio band formed in 2001 and found national attention with The Silence in Black and White, the 2004 debut that introduced “Ohio Is for Lovers” and “Niki FM” to a much wider audience. That history gives this show a built-in pull for listeners who want a night grounded in songs that helped shape the scene.

Their catalog also shows range and ambition. If Only You Were Lonely reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in 2006, while Zero pushed into concept-album territory with a dystopian near-future story. More recently, the band's own label Cardboard Empire and releases like The Rain Just Follows Me point to a group that has kept building its own path. That mix of nostalgia, urgency, and ongoing creativity is a big part of why a Hawthorne Heights set remains compelling.

For anyone browsing concerts in Tulsa, this one stands out as a chance to hear a band whose name is tied to a formative era in rock while still reflecting a long-running, active identity.
