Leslie Odom Jr. at Chapman Music Hall at Tulsa Performing Arts Center

Leslie Odom Jr. brings a voice shaped by Broadway precision and concert-room intimacy to Chapman Music Hall at Tulsa Performing Arts Center on February 27, 2027, at 7:30 PM. For anyone who knows him first as the original Aaron Burr in Hamilton, this appearance offers a compelling way to hear the depth behind the role: a performer who moves easily between stage, screen, and recording studio, and who has built a career around clarity, character, and musical control. It is an especially inviting entry point for newcomers who want a single name to lead them into a broader body of work.

What makes Odom stand out is the range behind the reputation. He is a vocalist, songwriter, author, and actor with Tony and Grammy wins, plus multiple Emmy and Academy Award nominations, and that combination gives his live presence a rare kind of polish. His Broadway debut in Rent at age 17 hints at how early that stage instinct arrived, while later work in One Night in Miami... showed how naturally he can inhabit a different kind of musical and dramatic role. That mix suggests an artist who can connect with listeners through both craft and emotional nuance.

If you are browsing concert performances in Tulsa for an evening that leans on strong vocals and a well-documented artistic track record, this date belongs on the list. Odom's career spans Broadway, television, film, and music, so even first-time listeners have a clear path in: start with the major roles, then follow the voice.
